I thought I had found a good solution by separating German and English posts on this blog but like Jon reported from his own experience trying to write a bilingual blog:
It’s getting messy!
My clients are from anywhere on the globe, that’s why I decided to write in English in the beginning. Then some German people [...]

Blogposts nach Sprache trennen
Posted in Blogging, DEUTSCH, Language, schwindt-pr, tagged Sprache on January 27, 2009 | 2 Comments »
Value = Money?

I’m working for artists and small businesses that mostly are not able to pay what my services would actually cost. In return I get symbolical payments (depending on what the client can afford), advertising and the possibility to test new measures. I also get the possibility to exchange artistic ideas or I get payment in [...]

When I got my copy of Klaus Eck’s book about online reputation management “Karrierefalle Internet” today I read the chapter about twitter right away and found the following tip on p.190:
Verzichten Sie auf Zweisprachigkeit in Ihren Tweets. Falls Sie in Englisch und Deutsch twittern wollen, empfiehlt es sich, dafür jeweils eigene accounts einzurichten.
Translation:
Avoid bilingualism in [...]

Starting a private blog I had to decide again about the language it should be written in. So far I’m using German AND English there as the blog posts haven’t been that long yet.
But as soon as the texts get longer, this is going to be really time consuming. And when it comes to play [...]

Communicating via email or private messages is fast and practical. But does this form of interaction have to lack any kind of politeness or style?
Call me oldfashioned but if I get an email I expect people at least to know my name and write hello and some kind of closing text. At least in the [...]

It was in March 2007 when I got a friend request from Pål H. Christiansen on my private myspace. As an a-ha fan I had of course heard from this Norwegian writer and his novel “Drømmer om storhet” that had just been released in German translation by that time.
Some private messages later Pål gave me [...]
“The web is not paper”

This little but very helpful sentence is the essence of everything that can be said about writing for the web.
I got aware of this for the first time during my virtual css-training “Little boxes” by Peter Müller. He uses this sentence to explain the possibilities and limits of webdesign depending on screen sizes, browsers, browser [...]

Yes, I have to blog about Mor Ve Ötesi, a new favourite band of mine, here too because I am very curious to see if/how their PR will follow the step to internationality now.
Mor Ve who?
Mor Ve Ötesi is a Turkish rockband who – already very famous in their homecountry – has made another big [...]
